This lesson starts with a warm-up. Students read sentences and tick the ones that are true for them (e.g. I work in an office). Then, they look at words and pictures of workspace objects (e.g. a lamp, a keyboard). They do different tasks while considering the objects (e.g. name three things you have got in your workspace). After that, they watch a short video and tick the things they see. Next, they watch a video about a teacher’s workspace. They read some sentences and complete them with numbers (e.g. one laptop, two notebooks). Then, they watch the video and check their ideas. In the next task students start practising ‘there is’ and ‘there are’ exercises. They complete grammar rules about ‘there is/there’s’, ‘there are’ by analysing the sentences from the previous task.
Welcome to my workspace!
