Welcome to my workspace!

Students continue the lesson by doing more ‘there is’ and ‘there are’ exercises. Using the rules they completed previously, students choose the correct word in sentences (e.g. there is/are…). Afterwards, they look at a picture and match questions with answers. They also tick the sentences that are correct. Next, they write five questions about their partner’s workspace. They ask their partner the questions and answer theirs. Moving on, students read sentences and match them to pictures. Then, they look at the picture from the previous task again and complete gaps with prepositions (inon or next to). They order words to create questions and answer them. Students finish the lesson with more ‘there is’ and ‘there are’ exercises in a pairwork activity. Students get three pictures each and ask each other about the things in the pictures. Using the prepositions and there is/there are structures, they find differences between pictures
